Photo by @petekmuller. Botanist Arnold Frisby folds plant samples into protective paper along the banks of the Cubango River in Angola. In addition to charting the river's full length and topography, the @intotheokavango expedition team collects samples of flora and fauna in order to create a comprehensive biodiversity assessment. The Cubango River is a critical tributary for the #Okavango Delta, a pristine wilderness in #Botswana and home to bountiful biodiversity. Dr. Steve Boyes and the members of the Okavango Wilderness Project hope to protect certain tributaries in order to preserve the ecological balance of the Delta. #intotheokavango #cubango2017 #Africa #wilderness #adventure #science #expedition #Angola #river #Cubango #environment
